MN Equity Connect is a dedicated organization committed to fostering a strong community of support for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practitioners across Minnesota's cities and counties. Initially formed as an informal group, our organization has grown significantly over the years, driven by the need for resources, best practices, and inter-practitioner support.
Our members are DEI administrators, managers, and coordinators, or professionals with significant DEI responsibilities, who play a crucial role in legitimizing the DEI profession within municipal governments. Through consistent and reliable communication, meeting structures, and resource sharing, MN Equity Connect adds capacity for DEI professionals to network, learn, and collaborate.
We offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity for professionals in the DEI space to work together, share resources, and support each other in their efforts to standardize and elevate DEI practices within cities and counties. With growing recognition and legitimization from city leadership and connections to organizations like the League of Minnesota Cities, MN Equity Connect is evolving into a more formalized and organized entity, committed to advancing DEI initiatives across the state.
Our services include membership management, meeting and agenda planning, communication on hot topics, resource management, and event planning assistance. As we continue to formalize, our focus remains on supporting DEI professionals and advocating for the importance and legitimacy of DEI work in Minnesota's municipalities.
